The Abdul Rauf Khalil Museum is one of the most important and beautiful museums and tourist attractions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia due to its cultural and archaeological significance. The museum has been visited by many politicians and royals, most notably King Charles and Princess Diana.
The International City of Al-Tayebat Museum
for Science and Knowledge, featuring classic Hejazi architecture, was formerly the palace of Sheikh Abdul Rauf Khalil in Jeddah. Sheikh Abdul Rauf Khalil himself collected the treasures now preserved in this palace, which eventually transformed into a museum.
The museum is housed in a multi-room building that replicates the classic Hejazi architecture of the old city, with large windows topped with intricate wooden latticework and decorative coral brickwork.
